The Delaware River Improvement Partnership
The Delaware River Improvement Partnership (DRIP) was formed in 2023 and is working to improve and preserve source water quality in the Delaware River.
DRIP is a coalition in the Lehigh Valley and Lower Delaware River Watershed upstream of Philadelphia’s Baxter Drinking Water Treatment Plant, which provides about 60% of the Philadelphia’s drinking water.
The network includes three issue-based workgroups focused on agriculture, stormwater, and engagement and stewardship. These workgroups meet quarterly to focus on various aspects of watershed protection. DRIP workgroup meetings are open to all.
