Virginia Vassalotti coordinates the Schuylkill Action Network, of which the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary is a founding member. This requires her to collaborate with community leaders by sharing information, expertise, and assistance. In this way, she protects and restores Pennsylvania’s Schuylkill River, the Delaware River and Bay’s largest tributary.
Vassalotti previously worked as a Chesapeake Conservation Corps fellow at the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection in Rockville, Maryland. There she managed and assisted in outreach programs while monitoring the health of streams.
Vassalotti earned a B.S. in environmental science from the University of Delaware in 2013. Today she lives in nearby Wilmington.
In her free time Vassalotti enjoys spending time on the water, whether it is on her family’s boat in the Chesapeake Bay, on Buzzards Bay in Cape Cod, or points in between. She also enjoys painting and spending time with her family, friends and dog.
To contact Vassalotti, please call (302) 655-4990, extension 121, or email vvassalotti@DelawareEstuary.org.
