The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary promoted Spencer Roberts to the position of science fellow in 2016 after serving as an intern for one year. Roberts works primarily on shellfish restoration and research.
Roberts is pursuing a master’s degree in environmental science at Drexel University. This is also where he earned his bachelor’s degree in this field.
Roberts has worked on a variety of conservation projects. These include conserving sea turtles in Costa Rica, desert tortoises in the Mojave Desert, pine snakes in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, and terrapin turtles in Barnegat Bay. And yet, it is Philadelphia he calls home.
