Kaitlin Collins

Watershed Planning Specialist

Kaitlin Collins joined the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary in 2016, first as a monitoring fellow and then as its watershed planning specialist. Among other duties, she works with communities and partners in New Jersey on projects to improve water quality and coastal resilience.

Collins earned a master’s degree in marine studies at the University of Delaware. There she researched the services that wetlands provide, like removing carbon from the air and excess nutrients from the soil. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in marine science from North Carolina State University. This includes minors in both environmental science and geology.

Collins lives in Newark, Delaware and enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
