Goals for the Delaware Estuary

The Partnership for the Delaware Estuary (PDE) worked with stakeholders from the scientific and management community across our region to develop a set of measurable goals for achieving and tracking improvements to the health of the Delaware Estuary. In 2013, these goals were adopted for the Delaware Estuary Program by its Steering Committee, which includes representation from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, the United Stated Environmental Protection Agency (Regions 2 and 3) the Delaware River Basin Commission, the Philadelphia Water Department, and the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary. These goals include both short-term and long-term targets for bringing about Healthy Water, Healthy Communities, and Healthy Habitats.

The “Measurable Goals for the Delaware Estuary Program” are summarized in the presentation below, and can be downloaded in full here.
