This FREE festival will take place Saturday, September 15th
Come celebrate the mighty Delaware River with the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary (PDE), the Alliance for Watershed Education (AWE), and Center for Aquatic Sciences!
For the first time ever, PDE’s Pennsylvania Coast Day and AWE’s River Days are coming together for a “coast to coast” experience that you don’t want to miss! Cross the Delaware River by taking advantage of free ferry rides from one event to the other.
The Delaware River is iconic. That’s why Partnership for the Delaware Estuary has been connecting Philadelphia residents to the waterfront for over 15 years through the Pennsylvania Coast Day festival. This year’s partnership with the Camden community is unique and special to us; it could change the course this event for years to come! It’s about time that Philadelphia and Camden come together to celebrate each other and this very special shared resource: water.
What to expect in Philadelphia: Educational fun for families, on-the-water activities, games and crafts for kids, face-painting, boat tours and much more! Right on site, visitors can also enjoy the Independence Seaport Museum (admission rates apply) and Spruce Street Harbor Park
Check out all of the past years’ fun at our photo gallery.

This is a satellite walk in partnership with Aqua Vida and Clean Ocean Action. Bring your fur baby and best friend to Spruce Street Harbor Park to meet other environmentally-minded dog owners! We will walk along the waterfront, picking up trash along the way. Registration fee benefits the work of Clean Ocean Action. REGISTER HERE and be sure to select Philadelphia as your location.
10:30am to 11:00am (Camden to Philadelphia); 12:00pm to 1:00pm (Philadelphia to Camden)
Bike over the Ben Franklin Bridge from Camden’s River Days event to the Pennsylvania Coast Day event (and back)! Starting in Camden at Wiggins Park, riders will be led over to Penn’s Landing by an experienced rider from the Tri-State Transportation Campaign. The route is part of the Circuit Trails system and bikes will be available for rent thanks to Cooper’s Ferry Partnership. Stay tuned for a link to this reservation page. RSVP on Facebook.
