This event was twice the fun as we celebrated two sides of the mighty Delaware River on Sept. 15.
For the first time, PDE’s Pennsylvania Coast Day and the Alliance for Watershed Education’s River Days joined together for a “coast to coast” experience.
Partnership for the Delaware Estuary has been connecting Philadelphia residents to the waterfront for over 15 years through the Pennsylvania Coast Day festival. This year’s partnership with the Camden community is unique and special to us; it could change the course this event for years to come! It’s about time that Philadelphia and Camden come together to celebrate each other and this very special shared resource: water.
This annual event is educational fun for families with on-the-water activities, games and crafts for kids, face-painting, boat tours and much more! Visitors were also able to enjoy the Independence Seaport Museum and Spruce Street Harbor Park
On the other side of the river in Camden, New Jersey, there was live music, a beer garden, educational games and activities, access to the Adventure Aquarium, the Camden Children’s Garden, and much more!
