Priscilla Cole joined the staff of the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary in May of 2007 as part of a summer internship to further develop the Delaware Estuary Information Gateway. With her help, this online tool will soon function as a comprehensive clearinghouse of environmental information, informing visitors about virtually every aspect of the tidal Delaware River Watershed.
Previous to the Partnership, Cole worked as an intern on the Water Resources Agency's State of the Basin Report regarding the Delaware River Basin. She also spent one year in the Volunteer Corps working for an environmental activist group in Seattle known as Heart of America Northwest.
Cole is currently a graduate student at the University of Delaware's Center for Energy and Environmental Policy, where her research interests include nonpoint source pollution and water policy. Prior to that, she began her higher education at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania. There she earned a bachelor of science degree in biology between semesters studying abroad in New Zealand and Thailand.
Originally from Hicksville — yes, Hicksville — Ohio, Cole now lives in Newark, Delaware, where she attends graduate school.
