In 2005, Shaun Bailey was hired as the first marketing and communications specialist at the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary. In 2008 he was promoted to marketing and communications coordinator. His chief duties include publicizing the PDE, acting as editor of the organization's newsletter, and maintaining much of this expansive website. He is also heavily involved with the Delaware Bay Oyster Restoration Project. And he is responsible for furthering the nonprofit's ecotourism goals throughout the tri-state region, mainly through ecoDelaware.com.
Bailey is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds a B.A. in advertising, specializing in public relations, as well as a M.S. in park, recreation, and tourism resources management. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, as well as the Delaware Press Association. Today, Bailey lives with his wife and son in Wilmington, Delaware, where he claims the distinction of being perhaps the only Detroit Lions fan in the entire First State.
